The Value of Water: Economic Value:

Namibia

Water accounts for Namibia have been completed for 1997–98 through 2001–02. Accounts are being compiled for 2003–04 with the goal of creating comparative accounts that span 10 years. Monetary accounts have been created but are not as complete as the stock and flow accounts because of insufficient data. Below is a summary of costs, charges and subsidies for the four water supply institutions as well as for the self-providers for the years 1999 and 2001.

Table: Supply costs, user charges and subsidies for water, 1999 and 2001 (million N$).

No information, but self-providers cover all costs themselves, so there is no subsidy
